Maharshi Karve Birth Anniversary
Aakar College of Management For Women celebrated Jayanti of Dhondo Keshav Karve. He founded SNDT university, the first women's university in India. He took efforts to reduce the taboo around widow marriage. He spearheaded widow education movement by marrying a widow the same year. Gaining the title Maharshi Karve, he pioneered widows' education, his legacy as a social reformer and advocate for women's rights remains inspirational. Program was inaugurated with the S.N.D. T University song .Students gave speeches through which they shared the immemorial work of him towards Women Empowerment.
