About SNDT University
SNDT Women's University completed 101 years of glorious existence in July 2017. It is synonymous with women's education and empowerment in India. It is the first womens university of India and South East Asia. This multi-disciplinary State University has rare privilege of having all India jurisdictions. It comprises of 39 University Departments, 13 Institutions including conducted colleges, four centres, 166 affiliated colleges and an autonomous college. There are six institutions recognized by SNDT WU for Ph. D. Research. SNDT is a home to 1100 teaching and non-teaching staff members and 50,000 students spread across seven states and a union territory. In the academic year 2016-17, the University offered 250 programmes ranging from diploma to Ph.D.
The Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey (SNDT) Women's University Post-Graduate Department of Computer Science established in 1985, offers three courses at the post-graduate level, Master of Computer Applications (MCA 2 years, full-time), Master of Science (Computer Science) (M.Sc.(CS) 2 years, full-time) and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and Applications (PGDCSA 1 year, full time). SNDT admits candidates to MCA based on performance in the state level entrance examination conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), subject to the eligibility criteria set by DTE. Admission to the PGDCSA /MSc-IT courses is given by the P.G. Department of Computer Science directly.
About ABGVS (Aakar Bahuuddeshiya Gramin Vikas Sanstha)
Aakar Bahuuddeshiya Gramin Vikas Sanstha (ABGVS) was incorporated in the year 2005 with the main objectives of providing quality education facilities to the needy people of Nagpur and surrounding areas. The members of the organization are well known of Vidarbha Region and having the various types of business and educational activities since so many years. All the members of the trust are highly and professionally qualified and working successfully in their respective field. However, as per the defined policy of the organization, all the members, with the modest intention of serving the talented and skilled students of Vidarbha Region.
Aakar College of Management for Women:-
The Aakar College of Management for Women is established in the year2012 with the aim of women empowerment. The College is affiliated to renowned Women's University, Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey University, Mumbai. The College is running the Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) Course. College has well qualified, young, energetic, dynamic and dedicated staff. The institute always envisioned with the overall development of the staff and students through various technical workshops, faculty development programs, seminars, skill development workshops, sports and NSS camp, cultural activities.
Aakar Institute Of Management & Research Studies (AIMRS) :-
The Aakar Institute of Management & Research Studies is established in the year 2009 with the aim of all round development of students trust on practical orientation and personality development of the rural area. The college is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. The College is running Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Commerce in Computer Application (BCCA), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Computer Management (MCM) courses. Unique features are lush green campus with indoor and outdoor sport facility with well equipped computer labs. The institute always envisioned with the overall development of the staff and students through various technical workshops, faculty development programs, seminars, skill development workshops, sports and NSS camp, cultural activities.
